This week in Hosted IVR news, Telappliant announced its VoIP Office Communicator. The new solution allows a user to turn a regular old Mac or PC desktop into a powerful UC tool. Telappliant announced that this new solution will offer numerous benefits including presence, instant messaging and CRM integration at no additional costs for its business customers.
“VoIPOffice Communicator provides users of Telappliants VoIPOffice hosted telephony service with a range of unified communications features - including presence, instant messaging, screen popping and click to dial. The software can be used as a stand-alone softphone or integrated with a hardware IP phone to simplify the placing, receiving and managing of calls and voicemail,” the company said in a statement.
In other IVR news, Solix’s expertise in managing public and private partnerships has surfaced with the selection of train-for-hire programs for western states. Solix specializes in serving public benefit programs of state and national agencies services, but will work with its new clients wand design and deliver program solutions that produce meaningful results. Solix hopes to help those individuals already enrolled to become employed by empowering them with learn-on-the-job skills, and at the same time reducing the expense of the search and train process with new applicants.
Finally, Virgin Holiday’s has announced it has joined forces with Encoded’s IVR Payment Solution’s to offer its customers an automated payment solution when booking vacations or excursions. This new solution will offer customers a more efficient and cost reduced option, while offering superior protection against fraud.
“The automated payment solution from Encoded offers high level of sophistication necessary to authenticate the caller, inform them of their outstanding balance and accept full or part payment without the need for agent intervention,” observed Jessica Baker, operations analyst at Virgin Holidays.
