InteleCom will soon launch a USB VoIP

phone that works on any PC or laptop without having to download or install software. Called the SmartFone, it is as small as a cellular phone and works anywhere in the world. Thus it will be ideal for travelers.
This USB VoIP phone is a great alternative to installing a softphone on your computer to make VoIP calls via Internet. The SmartFone has built-in software, thus it instantly works with any PC or laptop, according to the company. This eliminates the risk of software installation mistakes and the need for customer support.
"This will make it much simpler for our customers to immediately use their InteleFone [VoIP service],” said Michael Connor, President and COO of InteleCom, Inc. “It also expands our customer base to include military and other personnel who have access to computers, but are not allowed to download software. They simply plug the SmartFone into a USB port to call anyone in the world with their InteleFone account. This phone works on all types of Internet connections, including dial-up."
InteleCom recently announced its new gateway, which will allow customers worldwide to use its VoIP service using regular landline phones. This innovative device extends the savings of InteleFone's VoIP calling to customers using any regular phone when they are on the go.
