Telepresence solutions provider Telanetix (News - Alert), which also recently acquired hosted VoIP
provider AccessLine Communications, is expanding its partner program with regard to its hosted VoIP business. Specifically, its AccessLine service will be deploying Quintum (News - Alert) Technologies’ Tenor VoIP gateways in its service deployments.
By including Quintum’s Tenors, Telanetix will ensure its AccessLine customers have high quality, reliable VoIP service. According to Telanetix’ president Rick Ono, Quintum’s Tenors are an ideal complement to the AccessLine service, because the Tenor line is well suited for the SMB segment targeted by AccessLine.
“Quintum is the #2 player in market share for the low density (less than 1,000 ports) VoIP market,” said Ono.
Naturally, because its strength lies in the SMB space, Quintum places an emphasis on its partner program, and is now adding AccessLine’s VoIP Business Phone Service to the telephony services made available to its rapidly growing QCSP (Quintum Certified Sales Partner) channel.
The effort Quintum puts toward ensuring the success of this program is exemplified by reach — it has extended Quintum’s business into more than 65 countries since it’s founding in 1998. The success of its VAR channel, of course, is a testament to the energy Quintum expends in ensuring its partners have the support and resources they need in terms of both training and technical support and anything else that helps them becomes a valued partner.
“Their VAR channel provides more than just feet on the street — they understand the local markets, and address those markets in a manner most effective for that locality,” explained Ono.
For Quintum, the addition of AccessLine as a partner means its strengthens the portfolio of service partners with whom it aligns itself in a growing and changing communications environment that requires effective partnerships.
“AccessLine is a great example of a VoIP service that meets the needs of SMB customers while offering world-class customer service and a network that will scale,” said David Rudee, vice president of worldwide sales for Quintum. “We believe this partnership can fuel the growth of both companies.”
For Quintum, this is a way to make even further inroads in the SMB space. Telanetix, though now has a recognized brand as a partner, which should serve is well as it seeks to prove its resilience and ability to provide quality VoIP services to the SMB community — and then extend those deals to include telepresence solutions as well. The Telanetix solution, is, after all, well suited — in terms of both cost and deployability — for the SMB market.
