ancotel (News - Alert) GmbH, a provider of interconnection and colocation services for carriers, has decided to use the NexTone platform to create new partitioned services and develop new markets.
ancotel will leverage the NexTone IntelliConnect System, consisting of the NexTone Session Border Controller (SBC
), NexTone Multi-protocol Session Exchange (MSX), and NexTone Real-time Session Manager (RSM) for that purpose.
ancotel was looking for a platform that will help them deliver VoIP and provide customers with NGN
services. The company decided to implement the NexTone IntelliConnect solution based on NexTone's market reputation.
"The NexTone platform will enable ancotel to partition services to offer everything from simple hosting to a fully functional, intelligently managed VoIP interconnect service," said Michael Bohlert, director, technology & consulting at ancotel GmbH. "Even existing TDM
customers without NGN technology will be able to take advantage of NGN services. Because the IntelliConnect System is scalable and partitionable, we can use it to provide our virtual services to anyone."
With the NexTone platform, ancotel will be able to expand its business, particularly in the VoIP
provider market. This market includes European carriers, especially in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (formerly the USSR); TDM carriers without an existing VoIP solution; and other communications providers such as VoIP service providers, switchless carriers, and Internet service providers.
"ancotel is one of the top names in telehousing worldwide, and we look forward to a close partnership with the company as it uses NexTone's platform to roll out more IP-based services in the future," said Jens Kalbitz, director of sales, Central/Eastern Europe & CIS for NexTone. "ancotel's application of the NexTone IntelliConnect System is a perfect environment to highlight the full benefit of the IntelliConnect platform's multi-protocol switching, security capabilities, and dynamic policy management."
