NexTone Platform to Power Verscom's VoIP Partitioning Service

By Narayan Bhat, TMCnet Contributor

Gaithersburg, Maryland-based NexTone (News - Alert) has claimed that carrier solutions provider Verscom had employed its IntelliConnect System to offer hosted VoIP partitioning services to carrier customers.

NexTone’s IntelliConnect System includes NexTone’s Session Border Controller (SBC), Multi-protocol Session Exchange (MSX), and Real-time Session Manager (RSM).

Neither company has mentioned anything about the financial details of the deal. The deal appears to be an expanded relationship as Verscom has already supplied numerous NexTone networks to carriers in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) over the last two years.

“By deploying NexTone’s platform, Verscom can offer its customers intelligent session management capabilities and advanced features for current and evolving VoIP applications,” said Chris Menier, vice president of carrier sales EMEA for NexTone, in a statement.

Verscom believes that NexTone’s IntelliConnect System will enable it to gain larger share in the market.

“Verscom’s experience in using NexTone’s platform in our own carrier network, and in integrating the technology into our carrier customers’ networks, means Verscom is ideally placed to manage its customers’ VoIP networks,” said Mark Bradley, director of managed services for Verscom.

Using the NexTone platform, Verscom runs more than 850 million minutes per year over its voice network.

“We believe that this addition to our current NexTone deployments will help us position ourselves one step ahead of the competition,” said Gokce Bilyay, CEO of Verscom.

Verscom International operates with its five group companies in London - UK, Bahrain, Istanbul – Turkey, Dubai – UAE and USA, each being focused on the different segments of Telecommunication Solutions & Services.
