By Patrick Barnard, Group Managing Editor, TMCnet
VoIP Inc., a provider of turn-key VoIP solutions for service providers, resellers and consumers worldwide, is reportedly planning to relocate its corporate headquarters to Orlando, Fla.
According to an article in the online edition of the Orlando Business Journal, the company is planning to consolidate its operations by relocating its headquarters from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando, where its Voice One businesses are already located. According to the article, the move is expected to improve VoIP Inc.’s operating efficiency and result in net annual cost savings of about $600,000.
Last month, VoIP Inc. announced that it would save $420,000 a year with the sale of its DTNet Technologies subsidiary.
VoIP Inc. made news in June when it announced that it had selected Envox Worldwide’s communications development platform, Envox 6.3, to power its VoiceOne Enhanced 911 Verification Service.
The VoiceOne Enhanced 911 service is an FCC (News - Alert)-compliant solution for VoIP-based 911 calls.
“The VoiceOne Enhanced 911 Verification Service is a self-service IVR solution that empowers subscribers to ensure information accuracy,” TMCnet’s Cindy Waxerwrote in her article. “By calling 555-9191, VoiceOne Enhanced 911 subscribers can hear the address information that is on file and then either confirm that it is accurate, update the information, or instruct the system that they will be traveling to a particular area during a specific period of time.”
VoIP Inc. is also a certified Competitive Local Exchange Carrier and Inter Exchange Carrier.
