NBS Intros New Line of Voice and Data Products

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

NBS (News - Alert) V.o.I.C.E. has launched an enhanced version of its Intelligent IVAD product line, for retail and wholesale partners. These offerings have the flexibility to service the needs of small and medium enterprises and small office/home office (SOHO) business clients with a broad range of existing network configurations. NBS Intelligent IVAD solutions have the ability to interconnect with customers by utilizing any type of PBX, key system, or POTS product.

NBS Alternate Channels Manager Fred Paccione said in a statement that with Intelligent IVAD products, businesses can custom-tailor their own solutions. Users can pick the number of voice lines required, how they want them delivered and how they access the NBS network. NBS V.o.I.C.E.’s entire product line features low interstate and intrastate rates and foreign (out of rate center) DID numbers are also available.

The company explained that, while voice and data traffic is dynamically allocated, diverse hand-off options are provided including T1, PRI, analog or SIP trunking. Also, NBS bandwidth can be customer-provided or delivered by NBS. The same simple mechanism applies to all services. NBS has priced SIP trunking paths at $10/month and G.729 and G.711 codecs are supported. The company is making these services available to large and small businesses, via a network of channel partners and dealers.

Russell Markman, company president, pointed out that another great service for small businesses is Virtual Office Environment (VOE), which allows business owners to establish an office presence anywhere, with no physical office space necessary. The company provides VOE through the use of advanced IVR and auto attendant options as well as sophisticated call forwarding, voicemail and Web portal features. When combined with flexible and customizable billing options, the use of the NBS V.o.I.C.E. VoIP platform allows VOE clients to operate within any industry without physical or geographic constraints.

Founded in 1984, NBS provides a wide variety of voice, data, and Internet services to a diverse customer base that includes residential, small business, and large corporate clients.
