Computer Software Innovations (CSI) Outfitters has reportedly expanded its IP

telephony capabilities with the addition of another Cisco (News - Alert) CCIE Voice certification.
William Buchanan, the company’s senior vice president of delivery and support, believes this is a big deal because less than three percent of all professionals with any Cisco certification advance to the CCIE level and they have multiple CCIE engineers at CSI. He said in a statement that it’s also a big deal to IP telephony customers because it directly translates to superior network design, integration, and implementation.
Buchanan further explained that it’s very good timing for CSI as more customers are coming to the company for IP telephony solutions. CSI recently completed a project for a major school district that included 7,000 IP telephones which is one of the largest Cisco IP telephony implementations in their region. That established CSI as the go-to player for IP telephony and caused CSI’s phones to ring.
For those not familiar, CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (News - Alert)) is the highest level of professional certification available from Cisco. This certification is used by the IT industry to identify networking professionals with the highest level of expertise. CCIE Voice certifies expert-level knowledge of VoIP

solutions in the company.
CSI provides software and technology solutions primarily to public sector markets. The company has more than doubled its revenue in the past two years to over $55 million by using organic growth and acquisitions to fuel an aggressive expansion from its southeast base. Earlier this week, the company completed the acquisition of ICS Systems.
Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, ICS boasts a 25-year history in providing municipal financial management solutions. This acquisition provides CSI with strategic advantages, with ICS’s valuable market experience, and increased penetration in its local government market space.
