Westcon Group has released the premiere edition of the “Westcon Group Network Security Solutions (News - Alert) Handbook.” The new Handbook is over 300 pages and includes offerings from more than 40 of Westcon's security-focused vendor partners as well as a detailed, independent security market assessment from research firm Current Analysis.
Westcon Group (News - Alert), a specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, has targeted this comprehensive desktop resource at resellers selling security solutions. This Handbook builds off of the international success of the “Comstor Network Solutions Handbook,” now in its tenth printing, which focuses on Cisco (News - Alert)-centric solutions.
According to Michaela Arany-Bibby, director of marketing operations, Westcon Group, any reseller who wants to compete in the security market would be well served to have the Westcon Group's Security Handbook in their possession. The Group has brought together all the security-focused products, services, programs and selling tools into a simple desk reference guide that helps give resellers the competitive edge they need.
Chris Curran, manager of Distribution Sales for Secure Computing, noted in a statement that Westcon, who won Secure Computing’s North American Distributor of the Year 2007, provides resellers with unsurpassed technical expertise. Curran said that this new security handbook is essentially a roadmap to help resellers navigate what can be a complex market.
“The handbook includes product information sheets, selling tips, and other advice to help resellers of all sizes at each stage of the sales cycle,” he added.
Lou Rubbo, principal of Colorado-based DirSec, said that through its innovative solutions programs, flexible financing options and innovative marketing tools, Westcon has worked for them, helping them stay squarely ahead of their competition. DirSec looks forward to receiving their copy of the ‘Westcon Group Security Handbook.’
Westcon Group is a specialty distributor in networking, security, mobility and convergence for leading technology vendors, including Cisco, Nortel, Avaya (News - Alert) and Polycom. The Group recently introduced Technology Fundamentals training as an enhancement to its portfolio of training services available to its European wide reseller base.
