By Cindy Waxer, TMCnet Contributing Editor
The application, voice and data needs of companies are growing rapidly. To meet this burgeoning demand for application performance, Converged Access has partnered with Freeway Communications.
Converged Access specializes in delivering guaranteed application performance control for converged VoIP, data and video applications. This strategic partnership aims to extend the benefits of guaranteed toll-quality VoIP performance, business-critical application performance guarantees and converged application performance control to enterprises.
Under terms of the agreement, Freeway will now be able to offer customers: the Converged Traffic Manager (CTM) for optimized IP application performance and WAN efficiency; the Converged Access Point (News - Alert) (CAP), an all-in-one converged access device; and the Centralized Policy Manager (CPM) for centralized QoS policy management with adaptive adjustments to network conditions.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our customers advanced options for maintaining the highest level of QoS by utilizing the products and services of Converged Access,” said Lee Reaves, CEO of Freeway. “Working together, we will be able to provide enterprises with a unique solution for making VoIP perform as advertised.”
In May, Converged Access signed master distributor ABP (News - Alert) Technology, a Division of ABP International, to distribute its wide area network optimization solutions throughout the Americas in order to guarantee bandwidth for real-time business applications such as VoIP while ensuring bandwidth is available for other business-critical applications and improving end-user quality of experience.
