Designed to enable service providers to launch next-generation services, Ikanos Communications' Fusiv Vx180 is a low-power single-chip multi-mode VDSL2/ADSL2+ gateway processor. Supporting best-in-class quality of service (QoS) for triple play experiences, the Vx180 provides 2.7 GHz of processing power with integrated voice over Internet protocol (VoIP

) processing. Enabling Vx180 to achieve wire speed packet processing performance across all LAN and WAN interfaces, the product boasts of Ikanos' unique Accelerator Processor (News - Alert) architecture.
Integrating easily with home networking technologies, such as MoCA, Home PNA, HomePlug and 802.11n, Vx180 provides a powerful triple-play solution, which will incorporate features such as Seamless Rate Adaptation (SRA) technologies and Ikanos' Rapid Rate Adaptation (RRA). This will enable the development of a high-performance, integrated residential gateway platform for multi-play applications.
The universal gateway processors provided by XAVi offer low power, small footprint and flexibility, which is required to design a high-performance multi-mode xDSL residential gateway. With the help of the VDSL2/ADSL2+ residential gateway solution, ODMs can quickly bring to market products that meet the stringent requirements of broadband providers around the world.
