Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (TSTT) has chosen Mpathix (News - Alert) to provide voicemail and advanced messaging features for its fixed line network.
A joint venture of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago (51 percent) and Cable & Wireless (News - Alert) (49 percent), TSTT is the only communications solutions provider in the twin-island state deploying both wireless and wired next-generation networks with voice, data and multimedia capabilities. The company provides a range of communications services including fixed line and mobile communications, broadband Internet access, lease lines and data services to customers in the finance, energy, government and tourism sectors.
Mpathix serves wireless, landline and VoIP

network service providers by offering voice and data messaging solutions such as voicemail, voicemail to MMS, unified messaging, mobile e-mail, and auto attendant.
The Toronto, Canada-based company has an extensive customers base spanning the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Latin America and Asia/Pacific regions.
"We deployed the Mpathix voicemail solution on our wireless network two years ago. We were so pleased with the capabilities and reliability the Mpathix system brought to our 1.2 million wireless subscribers, that we decided to cut-over our fixed line customers on to the Mpathix Voicemail solution as well," said Lisa Agard, executive vice president of fixed line & carrier services at TSTT, in a statement.
Agard continued: "Combining both our wireless and fixed line networks onto a single Mpathix voicemail system will provide us with the operating efficiencies our competitive environment demands, and enable us to provide converged services, such as combined wireless/fixed line mailboxes, to meet the needs of our customers."
"TSTT's decision to exclusively use the Mpathix solution for both wireless and fixed line is a very strong vote of confidence based on our demonstrated ability to provide highly reliable service and support to meet the needs of their 1.2 million wireless customers," said Michael Guatto (News - Alert), CEO at Mpathix. "Supporting all of their wireless and fixed line subscribers on the Mpathix system will enable TSTT to leverage their existing investment, and develop new services utilizing the Mpathix suite of voice and data messaging solutions."
