snom technology AG (News - Alert), the company which offers Voice-over-IP

devices, has signed a mutual agreement with conference telephone manufacturer, Konftel AB to jointly initiate innovative future projects.
"With this cooperation we can exchange knowledge that we both will benefit by," says Peter Renkel, CEO of Konftel AB, on the co-operation. "We have so many things in common with snom that this partnership is bound to lead to interesting projects."
Germany-based snom technology was founded in 1996 and provides hardware and software products in the area of Voice-over-IP, primarily on the basis of the open standard SIP

(Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert)). snom VoIP telephones stand out with their wide range of additional functions. These functions fulfill the demand of modern communication and are suitable for business use and for Internet Service Providers, carriers, and OEM customers.
By implementing current technical specifications through the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), snom is also setting standards in security matters.
Konftel is Europe's well-established manufacturer of conference phones. All of its conference phones sold under the brand name of Konftel are equipped with the patented OmniSound technology, providing crystal-clear sound.
Konftel was recently honored with a Product Differentiation Innovation Award by Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) 2007 for its adoption of new and innovative technology functions.
