Hermon Laboratories announced the introduction of its new testing equipment – TCA 4100. This is a low-cost PC-based solution that can be used initially for VoIP and SIP (H.323). Optional add-ons include VQT (PESQ) and acoustic testing with HATS. SIP solution has been provided as a standalone software application.
Hermon clarified that the VoIP add-on solution is TIA/EIA-810A/B (News - Alert) and TIA/EIA 920 standards compliant. The equipment provides a cost-optimized solution for production and research and development groups. This reduces time to develop new products and testing times for production lines. The new SIP add-on and standalone solution offers support to ETSI (News - Alert) TS 102.027.
“With the addition of the new TCA 4100 test equipment, it makes it easier and faster than ever before to develop and test new VoIP products for international compliance at a lower price point than ever before,” stated Alex Usoskin, CEO of Hermon Labs.
“For our worldwide customer base, this means they can get to market faster – produce products that are better suited for the world market with better performance and reliability and quality.”
The testing equipment features compliance testing for VoIP and SIP (H. 323), a feature which relieves staff from learning two different instruments and two different software packages. The fully-automated testing provides built-in test suites for supporting standards and automates implementation of user-defined test parameters. It also allows manual operation for development and debugging testing.
The detailed reports are extensive and automatically generated in MS Word format. The on-screen display offers test results in graph and table formats along with test status.
Israel-based Hermon Labs specializes in EMC (News - Alert), telecom, product safety and environmental product testing. Hermon introduced the TCA 8200 telecom Conformance Analyzer in 2003, which was a new approach to telecom testing. It is referred to as the telecom testing lab-in-a-box.
Hermon Laboratories is accredited for ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 17025. The company specializes in telecom testing and has developed and manufactured the TCA 8200 Telecom Conformance Analyzer which covers a broad range of standard requirements for access equipment, including PSTN, telephones, Xdsl, E1, T1 and ISDN PRI.
