GENBAND Inc., a developer of next-generation IP infrastructure solutions, is expanding distribution and support agreements with Verscom Solutions, VoIP Logic (News - Alert) and General Telecom. The three telecommunications systems integrator partners have agreed to begin selling and servicing existing GENBAND products following the GENBAND acquisition of NextPoint (News - Alert) Networks on September 16th.
“We are very pleased to be in a position to seamlessly expand the existing supplier and service agreements NextPoint enjoyed with these outstanding distribution partners to encompass GENBAND (News - Alert) solutions,” said Pablo Gargiulo, president of global operations at GENBAND, in a statement.
GENBAND is a supplier of IP gateway solutions, session border controllers and fixed mobile convergence security solutions deployed in over half of the world’s 100 largest service providers. These gateway platforms are at the center of fixed and mobile networks around the globe, evolving, securing and enhancing communications networks. Gargiulo expressed that the agreements with these companies would expand the company’s reach.
“They provide cutting-edge integration services and support, and we are very enthusiastic about collaborating to assist operators in transforming their networks with IP technologies and security solutions.”
While General Telecom would give a boost to GENBAND’s footprint in the Americas, VoIP Logic would help in building up GENBAND’s growing presence in Central and South America with particular advantages in Mexico and Brazil. Verscom would aid GENBAND to rapidly expand its presence in European and Middle Eastern markets.
“We see significant opportunities for GENBAND solutions to enhance our offerings, particularly as we leverage their growing presence in Latin America,” said Micah Singer (News - Alert), VoIP Logic’s CEO and Founder.
VoIP Logic is a global provider of VoIP managed services and solutions. The company enables telecommunications service providers worldwide to build and manage customized, flexible and scalable IP telephony rollouts.
Singer said that GENBAND’s full product suite, combined with their Brazilian R&D facility and multilingual infrastructure, make them an attractive partner.
“We’ve been impressed with the seamless integration of GENBAND and NextPoint and look forward to capitalizing on their newly combined strengths,” said Gokce Bilyay, CEO of Verscom.
