Boston, Mass. based Integra5 recently announced that Westman Communications Group has selected their i5 Converged Services Platform (i5 CSP (News - Alert)) and TV Caller ID application.
Western Manitoba based Westman will offer the application as a part of its Westman Home Phone telephony service, as well as its triple play bundle overall. With the addition of the application, Westman hopes to boost the subscription of its offerings. The company has deployed i5 CSP in its video head end.
Westman has a proven track record in providing a host of services including digital cable TV, high-speed Internet, HD programming, and VOD and DVR, as well as advertising and Web hosting services. The TV Caller ID will be offered as an add-on to subscribers of Westman’s triple play package (including ‘Westman Home Phone’, digital cable TV and high-speed Internet services). The subscribers of individual services can also add the application for an additional charge of $5 per month.
Dave Baxter, President and CEO of Westman Communications Group highlighted the advantages of offering Integra5's (News - Alert) platform. "The launch of our Westman Home Phone product combined with Integra5's TV Caller ID provides our customers with a new choice for digital voice service that also delivers innovative cross-platform telephony features unlike other phone companies in the markets we serve.”
"At Westman, we're committed to developing new services that are responsive to our customers' needs, and Integra5's platform has helped us deliver on that commitment with the added value and service differentiation that comes with TV Caller ID and other converged services," he continued.
Deployed by 40 operators worldwide, the i5 CSP is an open, network-based platform that can be scaled to millions of subscribers, without requiring any truck rolls or in-home equipment. Earlier this month, TMCnet reported that the i5 CSP has been deployed by LocalTel Communications in its Washington state markets
"Broad-scale deployments of the i5 CSP and converged services prove their ability to increase differentiation and bolster subscriber retention and ARPU," commented Ed Perry, vice president of sales at Integra5. "Additionally, operators like Westman Communications are recognizing the clear value of the i5 platform in accelerating customers' transition to digital-tier TV and landline services."
