Pacific Internet (Thailand) Limited, its Thai subsidiary, and Cisco Systems (News - Alert) (Cisco) will offer Thailand’s first total IP-based solution for small-and-medium sized businesses (SMBs).
The collaboration will enable PacNet to offer a total managed services security solution to corporate customers, and to enhance its own core network infrastructure. Pacific Internet Thailand is reportedly the third PacNet office across the seven countries to tie up with Cisco. The company’s Australia and Singapore operations have both entered into similar arrangements previously.
PacNet ICONNECT Gold, a new total managed service offering is provided as part of a launch promotion. The new service is packaged with PacNet’s secured connectivity and Cisco routers, with no upfront hardware costs.
PacNet ICONNECT Gold provides a range of SMB-friendly features including installation and configuration set-up by technical experts, hardware maintenance, and a monitoring service that includes free alerts via SMS and emails in the event of any outages.

communications service provider, PacNet’s network needs to continually deliver a reliable service to customers. In addition to jointly developing new services for corporate customers, PacNet and Cisco will work closely to strengthen PacNet’s core network through improved infrastructure design, as well as the installation of an end-to-end Cisco network,” said Phey Teck Moh, president and CEO, Pacific Internet Limited in a press release.
He continued: “Our collaboration with Cisco will certainly help PacNet provide a quality-assured service and support to our customers.”
Promporn Ketudat, general manager — service provider, Cisco Systems Thailand believes this initiative will enable PacNet to offer better and more complete solutions for corporate users. He said that their company aim to extend the range of products and professional services together with PacNet.
According to Prithayuth Nivasabutr, managing director, Pacific Internet (Thailand) this collaboration with Cisco is a strategic move forward for them to benefit PacNet’s clients and to enhance their core network.
“This partnership will empower PacNet to support and offer value added services, essential to the successful operation of businesses. At the same time, it will make it possible for PacNet to provide a secured and streamlined connection for its users, to enhance their competitive advantage,” he concluded.
