NexTone has been selected by Avaya (News - Alert) Inc. for Platinum membership in the Avaya DeveloperConnection program. Platinum is the highest level of membership available.

NexTone has developed the NexTone IntelliConnect System, which includes:

--NexTone SBC, a standalone session border controller that secures enterprise voice over IP interconnects
--NexTone MSX, a multiprotocol session exchange platform that interconnects SIP and H.323 networks
--NexTone Real-Time Session Manager, which allows customers to dynamically manage and optimize their services from the network core

The NexTone IntelliConnect System interoperates with Avaya’s suite of enterprise Internet telephony products to deliver high-quality, secure, and cost-effective business SIP trunking services that replace costly ISDN trunks.

Enterprises can now have end-to-end visibility across networks and can more effectively support flexible IP communications services. Avaya’s suite of enterprise Internet telephony products includes Avaya Communication Manager, the Avaya SIP Enablement Server, and Avaya Meeting Exchange.

NexTone will be exhibiting in Avaya’s Partner Pavilion at Spring VoiceCon 2007. VoiceCon helps enterprises make the best decisions possible about IP telephony platforms and converged networks. The event is scheduled for March 5-8, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, Kissimmee, Fla.

The goal of Avaya DeveloperConnection (News - Alert) program is to promote the development, compliance-testing, and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions.

Member organizations boast expertise in a broad range of technologies including IP telephony, contact centers, and mobility applications. This helps companies to extend the value of multivendor networks and transform voice into an intelligent business application that delivers true value to the bottom line.

“Since becoming a member of Avaya’s DeveloperConnection program we’ve seen true integration between our products, which has created significant opportunities to jointly service Fortune 1000 enterprises,” said Larry Schessel, vice president, enterprise market, for NexTone in a press release.

Schessel believes that by building on Avaya resources and working more closely with the company, they can deliver business SIP trunking solutions that support the growing demand for VoIP, fixed mobile convergence, and multimedia services.

There are three levels of membership in the Avaya DeveloperConnection program - Registered, Gold and Platinum. Each level entails progressive levels of marketing and sales involvement. Anyone interested in designing Avaya-compatible solutions can avail the Free Registered membership. Higher-level Gold and Platinum members have to meet Avaya’s criteria for customer satisfaction, product support, business operations, marketing, and sales.
