Sir Speedy Whittier Relies on Zultys for Unified Communications

By Patrick Barnard, Group Managing Editor, TMCnet

Print-on-demand and business marketing solutions provider Sir Speedy Whittier has been that much “speedier” since it deployed a new IP phone system delivering unified communications from Zultys Inc.

Sir Speedy Whittier chose Zultys’ (News - Alert) all-in-one IP communications system not only because it offers the features and functions that it needed to run the business more efficiently, but also because it offers cross-platform support for its Apple (News - Alert) Mac and PC user base.

The Zultys Mac, PC and LINUX desktop application lets a user to control their phone, interact with information pertaining to a call, as well as a one-stop for listening to voicemail, sending emails, making calls, scheduling and launching web conferences, recording all calls, fax server and determining call handling choices. What’s more, Zultys’ open standard interfaces make it easy to handle telephone moves, additions and changes.

"Providing market leadership to a business providing printing and business marketing solutions demands instant answers, regardless of whether you're mobile, at a customer's office, or at your desk," said George Coriaty, owner of Sir Speedy Whittier, in a release. "It demands connecting across any media: voice, fax, data, voicemail. Zultys does more in one platform then others do in 4 or 5 platforms, all cleanly integrated through their easy to use desk-top client. I was also pleasantly surprised that Zultys provides call recording as part of their base features, as well as auto attendants. I can count on being reachable wherever I am."

Coriaty went on to add that the system, which was installed about a year ago, has improved employee productivity and therefore was “worth every penny.” Not only that “it's been absolutely trouble free.”

Concurring with the move to the new system, Sir Speedy Whittier switched its phone service from Verizon (News - Alert) to a Primary Rate Interface from PAETEC, an approved Zultys ITSP. This provided an immediate 50 percent cost savings.

"Working with Sir Speedy Whittier and their reseller MTG Consulting Services was a great win-win,” said Steve Rothenberg, CEO of Zultys. “Sir Speedy Whittier wanted to leverage their VoIP implementation to provide real business differentiation and advantages, and Zultys wanted to work with a technology and business leader. We understand how to provide clean, cost-effective and easy-to-use integrated solutions for businesses that can help them succeed in the marketplace."

Zultys made news on TMCnet earlier this month when it announced that it was partnering with videoconferencing solutions provider Avistar (News - Alert) Communications. That means Zultys’ IP PBXs can now be integrated with Avistar’s leading videoconferencing solution.

Specifically, Zultys will integrate Avistar’s C3 Media Engine into its IP PBX (News - Alert) (News - Alert) appliances. Zultys says it plans to launch the integrated solution this fall.

Zultys also made news recently when TMCnet's Michael Dinan interviewed the company's vice president of sales for North America, Pierre Kerbage, about new and upcoming developments. For more on that, click here.
