Smoothstone Partners with IPLogic to Deliver Innovative Hosted Communications

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Internet Protocol (IP) communications provider Smoothstone, has reportedly entered into a strategic partnership with IPLogic (News - Alert), a voice and data solutions firm serving clients in the Northeastern United States.

The partnership will enable IPLogic to provide Smoothstone's (News - Alert) hosted IP communications services and on-demand applications to IPLogic clients.

With this partnership, Smoothstone’s expertise in the managed IP communications industry will reach to IPLogic’s varied base of clients, including organizations in healthcare, education, government, financial services, hospitality and gaming, and manufacturing and distribution, officials said.

IPLogic recently selected Smoothstone's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking services for their own communications network. The trunking service is provided to their Cisco (News - Alert) CallManager hardware in New York and Pennsylvania offices.

The decision to form a new alliance followed after the successful implementation of the SIP trunking services.

“IPLogic has always been focused on offering our clients communications solutions that reduce cost and increase productivity,” said Kenneth Yanneck, president of IPLogic.

Yanneck added that Smoothstone's dedicated support and network management team complement their unmatched IP communications experience. Both companies also share a common focus on understanding clients' needs first and building customized communications solutions around those needs.

“Smoothstone's partnership with IPLogic makes sense for those customers who need the benefits of a hosted unified communications solution delivered with low capital expenditure and a flexible approach to service delivery that enables them to migrate to fully-managed VoIP services as their business needs dictate,” said James Whitemore, chief marketing officer, Smoothstone.
