INX, Inc., this week announced that it won a contract to design and deploy a unified communications and wireless solution for the City of McAllen, Texas.

 

The project was valued at approximately $560,000 in product and service revenues for INX (News - Alert).

 

The company would provide an advanced unified communication and wireless network solution that will centralize communications and improve city safety.

 

Officials said that the solution also includes deployment of a wireless system that will support a new communications and video-surveillance system to improve customer service and provider a safer city environment.

 

The solution, officials said, will help McAllen to meet larger critical objectives the city has for streamlining communications and enabling efficient interactions for the citizens of McAllen.

 

“Our long-standing relationship with INX has been the foundation of our movement towards advanced technology,” said Belinda Mercado (News - Alert), IT director for the city of McAllen, in a statement. “In partnering with INX, we feel confident in the delivery of services that we provide to our departments so that they can in turn provide enhanced services to the citizens of McAllen.”

 

Mercado said that INX has designed a solution set that will help drive the communications growth of the city of McAllen and provide opportunity for growth over the years to come.

Recently INX Inc. had announced that it has been awarded a $586,000 contract by Las Vegas Central schools to provide a network and security update to three campuses.

 

The networking project will create a robust network infrastructure to meet the growing demands and needs of their student populations at each location.

 

The project includes increased security to network resources, managed wireless infrastructures to meet mobility and future access requirements within the LVCS facilities, and an overhaul of the network components.
