TANDBERG, a telepresence, high-definition video conferencing and mobile video products and services provider, and BroadSoft (News - Alert), a VoIP application software provider, have extended the capabilities of their joint hosted business video communications systems through additional TANDBERG product interoperability and applications.
Together, the companies jointly unveiled the hosted business video communications system to help companies do more with less through superior communication and collaboration and to realize a host of productivity-enhancing capabilities by integrating video with voice.
By enhancing the joint solution the companies have simplified the service providers’ job of delivering integrated video and voice solutions to businesses of any size through software-as-a-service, or “SaaS (News - Alert),” model.
The new improved system will help its users deploy HD video and VoIP conferencing even more easily and cost-effectively. Integrated video and VoIP capabilities is supposed to help enhance the quality of business operations and pave way for effective collaboration.
With BroadSoft’s Device Management functionality, the configuration and provisioning of TANDBERG video products is now integrated with BroadWorks business applications. The TANDBERG E20 can now be deployed by service providers using the same management and provisioning processes they use today for traditional VoIP phones and devices.
And also the companies have also made hosted multipoint video conferencing possible by tightly integrating BroadSoft technology with TANDBERG Multipoint Control Units, or “MCUs,” which will allow service providers to deliver video conferencing as a cloud service to businesses.
David Bukovsky, vice president of products at BroadSoft, said that the usage of visual communications has tripled in the last year, making video a critical component of any business communication solution and they will to enhance their joint solutions with TANDBERG to ensure service providers can take innovative video solutions to market.
The enhanced TANDBERG and BroadSoft solution makes it easy for service providers to create customized systems for all their customers, regardless of size. Companies that so far could not afford to deploy their own on-premise video communications solutions enterprise-wide can benefit from the video unified communications through the TANDBERG and BroadSoft solution.
TANDBERG officials said that the joint system makes it easier for service providers to offer their customers enterprise-wide video collaboration systems. This easy to manage system is the key to accelerating the adoption of video so companies of all sizes can reap the benefits of visual communications. Simplifying the management and integration of video is especially crucial for the small and medium sized business market that is often reliant on efficient and effective managed services to drive technology integration.
CounterPath (News - Alert), BroadSoft recently launched Bria for BroadWorks Softphone and TANDBERG expanded HD video solutions offerings and versatility.
