VBrick Systems reportedly has received an order from the United States Federal Trade Commission in Washington D.C.
According to the company officials, the order calls for a complete enterprise-class system for distributing live and on-demand IP Video over the FTC’s (News - Alert) LAN and WAN networks.
“Adding the FTC to our growing customer roster sends a strong message that government agencies of all sizes -- at both the federal and state level -- recognize the productivity, collaboration and cost efficiency benefits that are unique to IP Video streaming,” said John Shaw, executive vice president, VBrick (News - Alert), in a statement.
Shaw said that the company is excited that these organizations continue to look to VBrick as the only fully integrated, end-to-end video solution that delivers these important benefits.
VBrick is a major player in enterprise IP Video solutions, with more than 6,000 corporate, education and government customers and 60,000 installations worldwide.
VBrick said that its solutions work over standard IP networks and the Internet to deliver rich media communications that connect people everywhere -- from employees and customers to partners and shareholders.
In November VBrick Systems had announced that it received an order for $476,000 from the U.S. Census Bureau in Washington, D.C.
The order calls for the delivery of VBrick Enterprise Media System software, H.264 and Windows Media Encoders, Reflector appliances, product training, support and services.
The Census Bureau purchased all five elements of VBrick’s IP Video platform. These include the encoding appliances that capture the video stream and rich media presentation materials; reflectors that transport the stream over the LAN/WAN while bridging low-bandwidth bottlenecks; software and hardware decoders that play the stream on PCs, video displays and portable devices; video-on-demand servers that playback the stored content; and the VBrick Enterprise Media System software that provides a unified portal for accessing live and on-demand media files and managing the end-to-end experience.
