CallTower, a provider of Unified Communications as a Service or "UCaaS," has announced a formal partnership with InterCall (News - Alert) a conferencing and collaboration services provider.
According to CallTower officials, this partnership will result in a new combined solution that will include both CallTower's (News - Alert) UCaaS and InterCall's audio conferencing solutions. The new solution offers greater productivity, cost savings and enterprise-class reliability for businesses desirous of implementing an UC solution.
Also, the combined solution eliminates the need for expensive hardware and infrastructure procurements, long and complex deployments and the need for ongoing support and upgrading.
Bob Wise (News - Alert), executive vice president of Unified Communications Services at InterCall said, "Many small to mid-sized businesses are very interested in Unified Communications from a productivity and cost-savings standpoint, but are intimidated by the prospect of hardware expenses, complicated implementations, and day-to-day management requirements."
"This solution provides cost-effective, easy-to-deploy and scalable Unified Communications (News - Alert) services that meet the needs of that market," Wise said.
The new hosted Unified Communications Service includes central hosting and the management of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange, Microsoft Office Communicator r2, Microsoft SharePoint, Blackberry Enterprise Server and Advanced Messaging Integration.
