Sonus Networks (News - Alert), a leading provider of VoIP solutions for wireline and wireless service providers, will showcase its award-winning suite of communications at “Wireless Japan 2007,” the largest national trade show in the segment.

Along with several other features, Sonus will show how capabilities such as ring-back tones, parental controls and broadcast messaging can be added to consumer bundles to create a differentiated service.

Sonus will also explain the potential of IP-enabled voice and multimedia services to transform the communications experience of households and business services.

These added bundles that power voice and multimedia services are developed on Sonus' IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) (IMS)-based architecture. Sonus caters to operators who are looking for bundles with innovative features beyond the usual features such as caller ID and call waiting.

For national business services, Sonus offers a package that can bring a comfort level to the Internet user, as if he is conducting business face-to-face. Lack of this comfort level leads to frustration and often causes the user to stop the web transaction in the middle. To help address this problem, Sonus will show how the combination of Sonus voice technology and web services can be used to improve the Internet user experience and generate additional revenue opportunities.

Adding to its solutions aimed at small businesses, Sonus will demonstrate an interactive advertising model that combines location and web services. Sonus believes this solution can bring consumers directly to the doorstep of their local business. Until recently, consumers have been turning to yellow pages to find information on local businesses.

In addition to the company's presence on the show floor, Sonus’ CEO Hassan Ahmed will be giving a keynote speech on “All-IP in Wireless - Sonus Networks’ Strategy,” at 11:50 a.m., Thursday, July 19.

Last year, TMC’s (News - Alert) Internet Telephony magazine recognized Hassan Ahmed as one of the “Top 100 Voices of IP Communications” for his role in the progression of the IP industry.

Sonus has received many awards and recognitions for its IMS based solutions. Some of the world’s largest VoIP networks — deployed in over 30 countries— are built on Sonus Networks’ technology.
