VoSKY (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise-grade solutions that help small-to-medium size businesses or 'SMBs' and enterprises to reduce communications costs and improve productivity by offering them Skype (News - Alert) for business solutions, announced its partnership with PhoneSuite, a provider of phone systems for the U.S. hospitality industry, for bringing Skype to the North American hospitality market. With the partnership, both the companies will provide enhanced communications to hotels and motels, so that their owners can reduce the cost of communications and earn better revenues.
The company offers VoSKY Exchange, which is a PBX (News - Alert)-to-Skype application gateway that seamlessly integrates a company's phone system with Skype, and is compatible with any existing 'Time Division Multiplexing' or 'TDM' or IP PBX phone. The new agreement will also enable both VoSKY and PhoneSuite to integrate their offerings, known as the VoSKY SSG gateway and PhoneSuite hospitality PBX, to offer enhanced communications solutions to hotels and motels.
VoSKY SSG gateway, is the first gateway that has been certified as interoperable with Skype for 'Session Initiation Protocol' (News - Alert) or 'SIP', and the platform offers seamless integration with any PhoneSuite communications solution, which will be helpful in enabling the hotels and motels with Skype. With the gateway, hotel owners will be able to maximize the functionality of their current communications system and offer their hotels an exposure to over 600 million Skype registered users.
When implemented within the independent or mid-scale franchise hotels, PhoneSuite will enable the guests to enjoy upscale phone system features without the high costs, while leveraging the VoSKY SSG, they will be able to take advantage of Skype's cost savings and enhanced business features without fork lifting their existing communications network infrastructure.
In the words of Frank Melville, President of PhoneSuite, company's priority is to give its customers the very best service possible and to make doing business with it as valuable as possible. Melville continued that by partnering with VoSKY, PhoneSuite is adding value to its telephony offering, delivering compelling cost savings to those in the hotel and hospitality industry, while giving them access to additional features and functionalities like Skype-enabled Web Click-to-Call which allows Skype users to call the hotel for free.
According to David Tang, Global VP of Marketing for VoSKY, with low cost Skype for SIP rates, hotel and motel owners are able to reduce their monthly PBX trunk costs by over 80%, as being present on Skype, the fastest growing communications network, is a must these days for any hotel looking to improve its customer service and expand its business. Tang noted that VoSKY is excited to partner with PhoneSuite to offer a cost-effective Skype-enabled hospitality solution that will help hotel owners to cut costs, improve their market presence and attract new clients.
In March 2010, VoSKY announced that VoSKY SSG, its PBX-to-Skype for SIP Gateway (News - Alert) is now interoperable with Skype for SIP, being the first gateway to earn the certification.
