ATCOM Business Telecom Solutions (News - Alert), a communications solutions provider, has completed a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) deployment for Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) after being selected via a competitive bid process.
LGFCU is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative established to serve the financial needs of local government employees, elected officials, volunteers and their families.
Officials with ATCOM sad that LGFCU's requirements included full unified messaging, contact center reporting and management, teleworking, enterprise voice recording, soft phone technology and fax services.
Company officials said that ATCOM created a networked Mitel (News - Alert) 3300 VoIP solution with full redundant failover to a hardened remote facility.
Additionally, company officials said that ATCOM replaced a Cisco (News - Alert) core network and switch infrastructure with a new HP solution.
"We are pleased to establish a partnership with Local Government Federal Credit Union," said David Finch (News - Alert), president and CEO, ATCOM Business.
Finch said that LGFCU serves the entire state of North Carolina, so communication with their members needs to be seamless and readily available.
He said that the unified messaging system provides LGFCU employees the capability to check voicemails, e-mails and faxes from one location and respond more efficiently using the Mitel 3300 IP solution.
Recently David ATCOM Business Telecom Solutions had donated a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone system to Hospice of Wake County's new facility.
Designed to ease the strain on health care facilities, and expand the availability of grief counseling and communitywide programs, the new facility includes a hospice home, administrative building, sanctuary, and grounds, and is located at 250 Hospice Circle in Raleigh.
The VoIP system will allow for improved communication for all Hospice staff and volunteers, and ensure quality care for Hospice patients.
