NextAlarm.com (News - Alert), the broadband alarm company, in collaboration with Home Technology-Store.com has launched NextView, a VoIP-based video surveillance solution for homes and small businesses.
NextView is compatible with popular self-installable wireless cameras. As well, NextAlarm is working on expanding NextView’s compatibility with other cameras.
The service can be either integrated into any existing alarm system or can be used as a stand-alone solution.
NextView is easy to set up, view and manage through the portal interface at Nextalarm.com, a company statement noted. Each camera can be associated with one or more zones such as front door view and back door view. Subscribers can also access images through their cell phones when they are on the move.
The system distinguishes alarm events from normal events and adjusts itself automatically to the interval at which it takes pictures. For example, it identifies and captures still photos every few minutes and switches to live video during an alarm event. Users can review archived video and stills any time. Also, NextAlarm's dispatch centers have access to the cameras when an alarm is triggered.
NextView is designed for the family or small business in need of an extra layer of security, but who do not have the budget for a dedicated video surveillance system, commented Alex Eliot, founder and CEO of NextAlarm.
With NextAlarm.com's patent-pending ABN technology, users can have their home security system reliably monitored over a broadband Internet connection and with the addition of an ABN adapter; the system is able to send signals through the Internet in real-time.
