SyncVoice (News - Alert) Communications, Inc., a provider of unified management software for converged communications, today announced that it has changed its name to Communicado to better reflect its shift in focus from just VoIP management solutions to real-time collaborative communications across converged networks, including voice, video and live conferencing. The name change coincides with an $11.6 million round of Series B financing from SoftBank Capital, Clearstone Venture Partners, and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.

Communicado claims it will be using the financing to expand its marketing and sales departments and to extend the scope of its service management platform with additional ecosystem partner integrations.
