Damaka Launches Cross Platform Video Conferencing Solution for iPhone 4

Damaka is a renowned innovator in mobile unified communications and collaboration. The company recently announced that it has launched the multi-party video conferencing solution for new Apple iPhone (News - Alert) 4 which claims to be the first of its kind.


Damaka's Amadeo platform is intended to provide a safe and consistent multi-party video solution that makes use of the front-facing camera of the iPhone. The Amadeo platform adds power to users by providing live multi-party video conferencing, in conjunction with exclusive capability to switch between front and rear cameras on the iPhone during a live video calling session. The solution comprises of features that include application and desktop sharing with voice, editing, zooming and panning capabilities; presence; instant messaging; and multi-party audio conferencing. In addition to that, it features the efficient Sweeping technology. This technology can be exploited to transfer the in-process sessions to and from various devices, irrespective of operating system or network.

In a release, Ira Weinstein, senior analyst and partner of Wainhouse (News - Alert) Research said that "The ability to leverage the iPhone 4's front and rear facing cameras for live multi-party video conference sessions with any other smartphone on any data network, while simultaneously utilizing the various Damaka collaboration tools, will be of great interest to the growing user base of iPhone users."

The company makes sure the availability of its pioneering mobile unified communications and collaboration solution in both Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and conventional client-server architectures.
