Network monitoring, reporting and optimization software provider, PathSolutions has announced that the company’s chief technology officer, Tim Titus, is set to speak at the Cloud Communications Summit, collocated with TMC’s ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011.

This bi-annual event is scheduled to take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach. Titus will participate in the panel session: “Dark Clouds: Can You Trust the Cloud? Latency, Security and Availability,” which is scheduled to take place on Friday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m.

“The Cloud Communications Summit addresses the growing interest of businesses to integrate cloud based applications and communications solutions into their networks,” said Titus, in a statement. “To make the most of the cloud and leverage its offerings, companies need to maintain complete visibility into network performance. Our intention in this session is to provide attendees with an understanding of how underperforming networks can impact the cloud, and offer several strategies to avoid these issues altogether.”

Dave Rodriquez, president of TMC (News - Alert), shared that organizations are seeking to leverage the powerful benefits offered in cloud-based services and are beginning to realize that one of the most important challenges in this strategy is to maintain a secure and reliable network.
