ATCOM Business Telecom Solutions, a communication solutions provider and industry leader in business telecommunications with an expertise in Voice over Internet Protocol, has entered into a partnership with Cisco.

Making the announcement, David Finch, president and CEO of ATCOM (News - Alert) business Telecom solutions said that as a result of the partnership, North Carolina based CED would receive Cisco's UC 540 SBCS, Smart Business Communication Solution The Cisco (News - Alert) VoIP solution is expected to provide a single platform to deploy IP telephony, wireless, firewall and LAN networking infrastructure for CED.

Finch emphasized the fact that with more than 5,500 active members, seamless communication was imperative for CED and the Cisco UC 540 Smart Business Communication Solution would allow CED to improve communications internally and help to further the success of the organization.

CED will be thus be positioned to cater to new requirements as and when they arise, as a flexible communication infrastructure would be in place. This would include remote workers and mobile employees.

In a press release, Joan Siefert Rose, president of CED said that the company was pleased to continue its long association with ATCOM. She also added that David Finch (News - Alert) had been actively engaged for many years as a CED member, and had both benefited from and contributed to CED's extensive network. ATCOM’s partnership with Cisco was the latest chapter in the company's successful endeavors. 

Roberto De La Mora, senior director of IP Communications at Cisco Systems, Inc. will be a speaker at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011 taking place Feb. 2-4 2011 in Miami Beach, Fla. at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
