InPhonex's Bramson Discusses White Label VoIP Services

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

At the recently-concluded ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011 in Miami, TMC’s Patrick Barnard had the opportunity to sit down and interview Matt Bramson, chief marketing officer for InPhonex (News - Alert), a provider of hosted VoIP services on a white label basis.

The company had a strong, breakout year in 2010. According to Bramson, the segment of the business that grew the strongest was “packaged services for small businesses,” such as hosted PBX (News - Alert), SIP trunks and packages and bundles around those. The company saw growth of better than 200 percent year over year.

When asked what he thought was driving the growth, he said “I think the real story is the emergence of a whole group of cloud-based service providers who have an application that solves a business problem. What they don’t have, and are eager to develop on their own, is all the telephony services -- the origination, the termination, the L&P services. They need those services to monetize and complete their product, but they’re not eager to go into that segment of the business themselves.”

InPhonex is a full service white label provider. “We provide everything they need, short of the application itself.”

At ITEXPO 2010, TMC blogger Tom Keating (News - Alert) wrote that InPhonex and Ringio (News - Alert) joined forces to create a service – Ringio On InPhonex (ROI) – which brings SMBs intelligent, virtual PBX features and functionality along with lower telecom costs.

They claim Ringio On InPhonex has an average cost per user of about $40 per month for unlimited calling and an end-to-end product, Keating wrote: “Not a bad price point for full PBX features and unlimited voice, though at a certain user threshold, an unlimited voice PRI circuit or unlimited SIP trunk with CPE-based PBX might make sense.”
