In an instructional video, Aptela (News - Alert) explains how to properly use the Follow Me feature in a users “find me” list. This information helps those out there who may be having a bit of difficulty adjusting to this functionality.
First, to get started, you must log into Aptela, then look for the find me list on your user dashboard. Aptela’s find me list forwards inbound calls to different phones to ensure that you never miss a call; what Follow Me does is temporarily overrides your find me list and forwards all calls to one designated phone number or extension.
To use the Follow Me feature you must click options (in your find me list section) then scroll down and press Set ‘Follow Me’, then you will enter your ten digit number, or the extension you wish for all inbound calls to forward to. Keep in mind; you must enter a star sign first before you enter the extension number.
Once your done, click the Follow Me button – this will activate your Follow Me rule and then all calls will be forwarded to this location.
To disable the Follow Me feature all you have to do is turn it off, and this will allow you to return back to your default find me list settings.
