Pac-West (News - Alert) Telecomm, a provider of communications infrastructure services, certified the Panasonic (News - Alert) KX-TGP500 and KX-TGP550 SIP cordless phone systems for use within Telastic hosted telephony platform.
TMCnet reported that Telastic complements Pac-West’s present telephony services including toll-free services, local origination and termination of any phone number anywhere in the world. Also, the Telastic solution set includes key telecom service components such as a feature-rich SBC, white-label VoIP and IP-PBX (News - Alert) services, certified third-party applications and telephony infrastructure as-a-service offerings. The Telastic service has a pay-as-you go pricing model and does not demand up-front capital expenditure from subscribers who can redirect the saved resources to other important processes.
Telastic provides a comprehensive set of core telecom components available as on-demand services – from border controller technology to application scalability to wholesale VoIP and PBX white-label offerings.
The partnership forged between Panasonic and Pac-West is supposed to leverage Panasonic's global leadership in the DECT (News - Alert) cordless telephone market and Telastic's innovative hosted PBX, adding up to a winning combination.
According to Panasonic, its SIP Cordless Phone (News - Alert) System is for communications using the IP-Centrex and Hosted Services. With this system, one can cut down on the initial equipment costs and communication charges. The system also boasts voice quality and a range of productivity-boosting options in a feature-rich desk phone replacement.
The Panasonic KX-TGP500 phone system has a wall-mountable base unit and one cordless handset and its support can be extended to up to 6 DECT 6.0 cordless handsets, eight phone numbers and three simultaneous calls. Some of the other notable features are: Wide Band Audio (G.722); 5 hours Talk Time; 10 days Standby; white backlit large LCD; 2.5mm headset jack; and more.
The KX-TGP550 has all the features and benefits of the KX-TGP500 and adds a corded base unit with a large white backlit LCD and five hours talk time, 10 days standby and a hands-free speaker phone, handset call button on the base unit, and one-touch call transfer with busy lamp indication.
