Operators of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks and platforms looking to quickly locate and resolve call issues can now start leveraging Vera Networks new cloud-based VoIP call flow diagnostics tool – vCapture.
The new vCapture service is a new non-invasive, cloud-based, SIP signal capture technology solution that records all session initiation protocol (SIP) messaging within a switching network.
According to Vera Networks, the new vCapture service was primarily designed to provide technical teams with the ability to target call issue-related SIP signaling data with laser-point accuracy, without being in critically sensitive areas of the network infrastructure.
As a non-invasive, cloud-based, SIP signal capture technology solution, the new vCapture service allows for in-depth analysis of SIP signaling data, including call flow, signaling, and equipment-related problems.
Offered on a monthly subscription basis, the vCapture service is the first cloud-based SIP capture solution capable of storing massive amounts of SIP signaling data, which then allows for retrieval of actual call information long after an event occurred.
Apart from featuring an intuitive interface and protocol-aware searching and filtering capabilities, the new vCapture service also reduces the time required to determine the root cause of most VoIP call and interop-related issues.
In addition, the new vCapture service also improves customer response times, resource utilization and reduces related operational expenses.
"Our solution operates passively so it preserves the integrity of a networks infrastructure," Brian Stone, CTO for Vera Networks, said in a statement. "Other call analysis products on the market are typically intrusive, introducing additional points of failure into a network and potentially affecting network performance. Also, these other solutions can cost several hundred thousand dollars, while vCapture is a fraction of the price."
"The economics and storage capabilities definitely make it worth a closer look, even for those who already have a call analysis solution in place," Stone added.
"vCapture is essential for anyone operating a Voice Over IP platform in today's business environment," said Christopher Bradish, CEO at Vera Networks. "It fits seamlessly into any network architecture, whether you are a carrier, service provider, or an enterprise business."
The vCapture service was introduced at International Telecoms Week in Chicago earlier this year.
