The joy of watching a Youtube video can be short lived if the audio is distorted. Nothing can be more irritating than the annoying clicks and static that seems to be embedded in the video that you're watching. In more cases than one, it's the Flash-Based system that is responsible for poor audio quality.
However, Flashphoner, provider of Flash-to-SIP gateways, and SoliCall (News - Alert), provider of audio quality solutions, have reportedly come up with a combined solution that promises to improve the audio quality in such systems.
Moses Benjamin, director of marketing for SoliCall, observed that standardization was a key enabler to this new offering and the partnership demonstrated its importance in VoIP.
“We are excited about partnership with SoliCall experts. Our common aim is to provide best quality sound and maximum low latency web communications”, said Pavel Ismailov, CEO of Flashphoner project.
Sound quality and low latency are the key parameters for comfortable Web calling and together, Flashphoner and Solicall supply these.
Flashphoner, which focuses on scalable low latency products, provides Flash-to-SIP gateways for high quality Flash- VoIP communication and provides a gateway between RTMP and RTMFP to SIP. The media server solution also works on RTMFP protocol.
Solicall's goal is to raise the quality and standards of any audio conversation. Its unique audio noise reduction software technology improves voice quality tremendously and works on either a network or an end unit. It has been designed to improve audio quality on both server-side/network filtering and client-side filtering.
Benjamin was confident that the combined solution was the answer to poor audio quality and noted, “From this day, Flash-based solutions will enjoy high quality audio, free of echo and noise.”
In an effort to deliver improved audio quality, Japan Communications, a major data MVNOs in Japan, has reportedly integrated SoliCall’s PBXMate noise and echo canceling technologies into its VoIP Network.
