BroadSoft (News - Alert) and OneAccess Networks have announced the commercial availability of BroadCloud PacketSmart integrated with the OneAccess (News - Alert) One1540 multi-service router.

The company has partnered with OneAccess to offer an integrated solution that enables telecommunications service providers to monitor and proactively troubleshoot network issues, which provides even greater value to their customers, said David Bukovsky, vice president for products at BroadSoft.

He believes that this integrated solution offers joint customers a cost-effective way to ensure the highest quality for their hosted real-time communications services.

Thanks to the integrated solution, service providers can now offer small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise customers managed hosted services. These services include assessing network readiness before service installation as well as ensuring superior quality of voice and video communications services after service activation.

The BroadCloud PacketSmart enables service providers to assess the configuration and readiness of their customers’ networks to support VoIP and data communications solutions, while the One1540 CPE is a multi-service router that has been optimized to deliver hosted converged services to the SMB and enterprise with hardware scalability and software flexibility.

Service providers can now leverage the integration to proactively detect and resolve problems for cloud-based IP services delivered on their networks. In addition, they can also address a broader SMB market with higher value managed cloud services.

The deployment of PacketSmart with the One1540 multi-service router enables continuous monitoring of calls to determine performance issues on both the business’ internal network and also the service provider's network and provide detailed reports on QoS. 

Some of the key benefits include faster customer installation with the deployment of a single device ; ability to proactively address problems and reduce Mean-Time-To-Resolution; continuous 24 x 7 network performance monitoring to ensure service availability; and more.

Noting that service providers require vendors to invest in integrated solutions that enable higher value managed services, Dennis R. Gatens, vice president and general manager for North America at OneAccess Networks, said that both OneAccess Networks and BroadSoft recognize that simply being part of an ecosystem no longer supports a service provider's strategy to deliver high value managed services.

The One1540 with the integrated BroadCloud PacketSmart embedded agent is now available from OneAccess Networks.

Recently, BroadSoft announced Call Center Xpress, a bundled call center solution that enables telecommunications service providers to deliver a feature-rich, end-to-end and fully scalable hosted call center solution to enterprise customers.
