Technology Fast 500, conducted by Deloitte (News - Alert) & Touche LLP, provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies - both public and private in North America. Winners are selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2007 to 2011. Vocalocity (News - Alert), a provider of voice over IP phone service for small- and medium-size businesses, has been ranked 112th on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500.

Vocalocity takes pride in being honored for the past two consecutive years.

"We are able to grow faster than our competitors because our communications platform has built in features that help our customers sell more and service better. It is gratifying to be ranked high on the Fast 500 list of great technology companies for the second straight year," Wain Kellum, chief executive officer at Vocalocity said in a statement.

Kellum also stated that it is customers' success that drives the company to continue to invest and innovate its service.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 builds on a string of awards and recognitions that include acknowledgment as a Georgia Fast 40 company by the Atlanta Association for Corporate Growth, and as one of the nation's fastest growing companies on the Inc. 500|5000 ranking.

In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500 recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenue. Companies must have base-year operating revenue of at least $50,000 USD or CD, and current-year operating revenue of at least $5 million USD or CD. Additionally, companies must be in business for a minimum of five years.

In related news, Vocalocity partnered with customer relationship management company SugarCRM (News - Alert) to develop an integrated solution that combines the two technologies. The announcement was made at SugarCRM’s sixth annual SugarCon event.
