Cbeyond (News - Alert) recently received a number of awards for excellence in communications from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) on October 25, 2012.

The company also received awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) on November 8, 2012.

The company was recognized for its unique corporate culture, receiving the award for its "Era of Transformation" rebranding initiative and related public relations programs and projects.

The rebranding initiative in particular focuses on the company’s growth into a full-service cloud and communications services provider.

The company also started a strategic initiative to provide next-generation symmetrical Ethernet services to a growing percentage of its users as part of a plan in 2012. The company also created a "solution-selling" sales force and introduced new cloud-based products and services. These consisted of two important cloud service products: the TotalCloud Data Center, which is a safe, enterprise-class, customizable set of managed services; and the TotalCloud Phone System, a state of the art version of its hosted PBX (News - Alert) product.

Recently, the company was ranked among the top five competitors in the 2012 North America VoIP access and SIP trunking services market. The company also got 2012 North American Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) Award for Competitive Strategy Leadership. Apart from VoIP and SIP trunking, Cbeyond also provides voice and data access services that consist of hosted unified communications applications, and hosted exchange e-mail services.
