Lyfe Communications will provide services to the AMLI Memorial Heights apartment complex in Houston, Texas. The company, which specializes in the development of next-generation media services integrating TV, high-speed Internet and enhanced voice services, has signed a contract to this end.
This contract will enable Lyfe Communications to provide services to hundreds of new customers in the apartment complex- 380 to be exact.
"This increase in capacity will provide tenants with faster data speeds and allow us to provide these enhanced services to many more customers in that MDU," said Garrett Daw, EVP of operations at Lyfe Communications.
However, it will be some time before the Houston customers will be able to avail these services as Lyfe Communications will deliver on this contract in the first quarter of 2013.
This contract, according to a release, will allow Lyfe Communications to service customers through 2019.
"Long-term service contracts with apartment complexes and property management groups provide access to new customers for growth," said Daw.
Lyfe was in the news earlier this year for executing a contract to provide increased bandwidth to 17 Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) properties in Texas, California and Utah. Through this new contract, Lyfe Communications is serving thousands of new customers and also expects these contracts to increase the total service capacity of the company.
In a recently released quarterly report, Lyfe noted that it is developing, deploying and operating the networked platform for the next-generation of communications and entertainment services. The company is leveraging its IP technologies to provide compelling media and communication services to consumers and businesses.
