Huawei (News - Alert), a global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has recently been honored with the "Excellent Telecom Cloud Solution Provider of the Year” award from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).
This award was handed over to Huawei during the Frost & Sullivan award ceremony on November 13 and recognizes the company's distinguished achievements in the telecom cloud market developments.
Officials at Frost & Sullivan said that they give away the Best Practices Award to companies for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Each year, the awards are presented to the company with outstanding performance in various industries.
Huawei took its first step in the field of cloud computing in 2008 and has till date assigned 10,000 R&D and service staff for enhancing the developmental activities. The company also took interest in research on servers, in which its X86 series is among the top in 81 functional criteria according to SPEC. Till date, the company has been successful in offering end-to-end IT service and solution for operators.
Now in 2012, Huawei has managed to deliver more than 260 data centers in which 35 are cloud computing data centers. The company has even announced its plan to build the telecom cloud data center which has 1.3 million square meters for international information harbor, to centralize the telecom cloud computing operation support system of China Mobile (News
- Alert).
