Pactera Technology Places in Top 100 IDC FinTech Rankings
September 22, 2015
Pactera Technology International has announced that it has been named one of the top 100 financial services companies in the 2015 IDC (News - Alert) Financial Insights FinTech Rankings.
The Beijing-based company placed at 59 in the rankings, based on revenues earned in 2014. Pactera believes the score reflects the company’s strengths in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) industry.
"Our deep experience and emphasis on BFSI as a vertical market have helped ensure that our business is mature, process-driven and ready to expand to key markets,” Balaji Yellavalli, Pactera president of North America and European Operations, said. "Led by our strong team of leaders armed with extensive industry knowledge and a global track record of success, we are expanding our BFSI leadership to include solution-driven experts in management consulting and innovation. These efforts will strengthen Pactera's presence and fuel growth in the North American market."
One of the company’s latest offerings is Innoveo Skye, a web-based multichannel software project that lets insurance companies launch new products quickly.
The insurance industry has a reputation for being conservative as it’s based on managing risks, but after years of being a technology adoption laggard it is beginning to catch up. An example is cloud-based products like Innoveo Skye that help companies reduce the overhead in managing IT infrastructure. One of the company’s major clients, a large Swiss insurance agentcy, is using it already.
Innoveo Skye supports tablets and smartphones, which is very useful for field agents offering customized products to customers. Insurance agencies have become significant users of mobile technologies such as laptops and cellphones, as field agents offer complex products, have a need to capture remote information while on-site and need to be in almost constant touch with the main office and back office resources..
Pactera will focus on deepening its North American customer relationships.
"We believe that the capabilities and power of the solutions suite will speak for themselves as we showcase Innoveo for the U.S. and Canadian markets," said Yellavalli. "We are also engaging in partnerships with leading enterprise software application providers and infrastructure providers to bring clients solutions that have benefitted BFSI companies in other markets."
