A new conference phone by Polycom works with both analog networks and Voice over IP environments.



CloudTC, a Software innovator for business applications and IP telephony, announced the availability of the CloudTC Glass 1000 smart IP phone, which has been designed with a visual voicemail application to be compatible with the Metaswitch VoIP solution. The company's top executives demonstrated the capabilities and features of the smart IP communications platform at the Metaswitch Forum 2011. The visual voicemail application provides users with a visual interface to select messages for playback or to receive a transcript of each message.



With overseas travel becoming an essential part of business for many companies, it is difficult to navigate time changes. In spite of that, a business relationship or an important deal can be lost when meetings are missed or when people arrival late to meetings. Today's long-awaited iPhone announcement put rumors to rest that there would, in fact, be a next-generation platform and smartphone coming to market, and it's no surprise that many companies have planned ahead for their own support.



ChatTime is an international calling app for the Apple iPhone that can be used without a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection, and it lets users call any phone in the world, not just other users with ChatTime installed. ChatTime is being used by customers in more than 216 countries and territories, says ChatTime co-founder Doug Simpson.
