Digerati, a well-known provider of cloud communication services, released a promising statement on its Value Added Reseller (VAR) strategy.

“Digerati's platform and global network provides its value-added reseller (VAR) partners with innovative cloud telephony functionality that allows their customers to communicate cost-effectively on a global scale,” the statement said. “With a robust carrier-class network built over the course of a decade and over 200 global partners, Digerati's infrastructure provides their VARs with clear pricing and call quality advantages to meet their customers' voice and video transport needs.”                                                                                  

Digerati has targeted small-to-medium-sized businesses for their VAR strategy.

The company already added nine VARs, including ADT Systems, a wireless Internet provider and systems, integrator and Starr Telecom. Both companies serve the South Texas region.

“ADT fits the mold for the type of qualified VAR we are seeking to align ourselves with in the marketing of our cloud-based services,” Digerati CEO Arthur L. Smith said of the deal in February. “ADT is a well established service provider that has the technical expertise and operational support capabilities to bring the kind of recognition Digerati wants for its ‘Only in The Cloud’ brand."

Digerati has also secured nine VARs in total, including an IT compliance consulting firm and a communications center providing call center support.

The company said it is interested in PBX (News - Alert) vendors, IT services firms, managed service providers and systems integrators that lack cloud communications services to be their VAR partners. Services include IP/PBX, VoIP transport, SIP trunking and data storage, as well as several customizable applications.
