LGEricsson has long been a force in the communications industry, specializing in everything from the garden variety smartphones to VoIP and mobile VoIP. The company has now announced that it has made great strides in their pursuit of a comprehensive IP communications software and hardware.

The company’s SIP trunking interoperability testing was a huge success. A San Diego based VoIP communications company Vintalk carried out the testing on the trunking and other aspects of LG’s iPECS-LIK.

Jayson Jones (News - Alert), Senior VP of Business Development at Vintalk, issued a statement about what his company found when they were testing the package that LG Ericsson hopes will be another feather in their cap. “We’ve been offering VoIP solutions to our clients since 2001, and our business has grown because we stress reliability, quality and economy,” he said. “We find all three in the LG-Ericsson (News - Alert) USA iPECS-LIK. We hold our solutions to a high standard. LG Ericsson’s iPECS-LIK delivered solid performance and demonstrated outstanding reliability in our SIP trunking testing.”

LG-Ericsson USA’s Director of Product Marketing, Iain Kenney (News - Alert), explained that his company understands that reliability is even more important than how fast VoIP communications is carried out. “SIP trunking makes IP networking a viable vehicle for economical broad-spectrum communications,” said Kenney. “We’re thrilled that Vintalk (News - Alert) put our iPECS-LIK pure IP and communications solutions to the test, demonstrating that customers can rely on LG-Ericsson’s IP communications solutions for reliable SIP trunking.”

Vintalk officials say the company can now take advantage of LG’s integrated SIP Proxy Server on their call servers and enable SIP functionality seamlessly and without any trunking licenses and more importantly without additional costs.

Vintalk’s SIP Proxy server is fully integrated, so there is no need to bring in 3rd-party accessories. The proxy server is managed from a single GUI, which works to enable simplicity and makes the cost of these servers that much lower.
