Avotus Introduces Next-Gen Call Accounting Solution

As access to detailed usage information for all types of communication technologies has become a necessity for effective business management, today’s business environment requires a solution that goes beyond conventional call accounting.


Getting a holistic understanding of usage by specific locations or departments allows companies to allocate costs, form plans for additional new technologies and identify instances of system abuse.

Avotus Corporation provides usage management solutions to its customers. The firm recently announced its next-generation usage management solution – Usage Management 8.3 (UM 8.3).

“Avotus (News - Alert) customers are rapidly transforming their communication environments to enable augmented savings, enhanced data security and greater flexibility,” said Sumer Shankardass, CEO at Avotus. “With the launch of UM 8.3, Avotus accentuates its commitment to support customers in this transformation by providing a simple, secure and robust solution optimized for their communication environments.”

UM 8.3 introduces a new dimension of usage management with advanced reporting and improved KPI tracking capabilities, designed to take call accounting to a whole new level.

The solution offers an easy, simple and intuitive GUI, provides support for Cisco and Avaya (News - Alert) systems and is compatible with multiple browsers and latest SQL and Windows editions, the company stated in a press release.

Activity details of mobile and wireless phones, calling cards, pagers and related tools provide call detailed information unavailable in the conventional PBX (News - Alert). VoIP and converged communication offer additional information in their IP-based call detail records (IPDR) that need collection and analysis.

In 2011, TMC’s (News - Alert) Anil Sharma reported that the company renewed its contract with one of the largest energy companies. The company’s expense management is a complete and fully automated solution that processes, monitors and reports the whole communications network of companies with considerable and sustainable results.

This new agreement brings about the launch of a new Real-Time Telecom Expense Management (R-TEM) solution called Avotus Telicost.
