Attractel NV, a company specialized in developing VoIP applications, has announced the release of new 2.19 versions of Zoiper IAX and SIP softphone for Windows.
Officials at Attractel (News - Alert) say that SIP and IAX/IAX2softphone is suitable for both the home and office, and provides a great combination of basic and enhanced features, such as Conference, Caller ID, Call forwarding, Call transferring, Call recording and Voicemail in a neatly packed light, user-friendly application.
A multi-platform IAX and SIP softphone, Zoiper is compatible with Asterisk (News - Alert) or any SIP-based IP-PBX.
The new release will enable users of the IAX and SIP softphone to see each other during video conversations and includes features such as a 64-bit printer driver for the Biz edition; and a smart audio device, auto-detection enhancement.
Zoiper 2.0 IAX & SIP softphone previously known as Idefisk is available in a Biz edition and free edition. The Biz edition includes Sending / Receiving of T.38 Faxes; TCP/TLS support with SIP; Automatic provisioning (XML); URL handling; Outlook/Thunderbird Integration; Native conferencing; API; Attended transfer; Changeable number of lines.
Also, Zoiper 2.19 for Windows offers improvements in the registration process (Biz edition) and an added option for server-side auto answer; updated API (Biz edition) and some minor other additions and fixes.
Other Zoiper additions include features like TLS with SRTP support; certificate system reset option (in the Biz edition only); support for chipset-based headset/USB phones; Quality of Service functionality; DSCP fields for signaling and media; and Improved Zoiper Biz certificate system.
