Telovations Expands with Nationwide Managed MPLS Network

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

Telovations Inc., a provider of hosted voice services to business customers, has reportedly expanded its Real-Time Network throughout the United States with the launch of a nationwide flat-rate Managed MPLS Network.

Officials at Telovations (News - Alert) said the Managed MPLS Network will expand their outsourced communications solutions to business customers who also require a wide area network for connectivity among branch locations.

Managed MPLS Network provides multi-location businesses with cost-saving services, including Managed SIP Trunking, Hosted PBX (News - Alert), Unified Communications and Mobility solutions. These innovative services are delivered in an outsourced, variable-cost business model, which helps to increase efficiencies and decrease the demand on internal IT resources.

Rick Schonbrun (News - Alert), president and chief executive officer of the Tampa-based firm, said that Telovations’ Managed MPLS Network is helping their customers significantly reduce communications expenses and allows them the flexibility to expand and contract their voice and data services on demand.

He said customers are increasingly looking at outsourcing as a cost-effective way to leverage new technology without the upfront capital cost of premise-based systems.

Telovations’ Real-Time Network uses industry-leading Cisco hardware to power a dedicated managed network that delivers superior voice, video and data services. Designed from the ground up to meet the needs of business customers, Telovations’ private network offers customers a clear advantage over the public Internet which often suffers slowdowns and backups, says the company.

Four Rivers Peterbilt of Savannah, a dealer of Peterbilt Trucks, recently upgraded its frame relay network to the Telovations Managed MPLS Network and has reported that company has saved 32 percent annually, while substantially increasing the quality of service for both voice and data between locations.

“During these challenging economic times we are always looking for new ways to save money and increase our service to customers,” said Jim Elliott, chief executive officer of Four Rivers Peterbilt. “Outsourcing the management of our network routers and the connectivity between our sites provides Four Rivers with increased operational efficiency, which helps make us more competitive.”
