MyFax Intros 100 Free Fax Templates

By Vivek Naik, TMCnet Contributor

MyFax, an independent business vertical and Software-as-a-Service Solution from Protus IP Solutions reportedly announced that its namesake solution now has 100 free fax templates on offer, and most Microsoft (News - Alert) Office and Open Office users can edit these any way they want since the templates have been created in Microsoft Word format.

“We’re happy to provide free cover pages for anyone to download,” said Luc Vezina, product marketing director at MyFax (News - Alert), in a statement. “Cover pages distinguish who you are and to whom you are sending a fax. It’s also a good way to brand yourself with your company logo, website and contact information. This is an easy and free way to add value to your brand without hiring a graphics department or using valuable company letterhead.”

Officials at the company said the fax cover sheets are available in six categories, which fall under headings such as basic, professional, business, urgent, modern and fun, and it also has additional occupational fax cover pages for industries including accounting, bookkeeping, construction, education, finance, legal, medical, non-profit and real estate.

The company said that customers do not require fax specific phone lines or even fax machines because the unique service sends and receives faxes via email accounts. The immediate benefits are: a reduced carbon foot print due to less power consumption, reduced bills for power and fax machine maintenance or upgrade, and it is also available as a SaaS (News - Alert).

SaaS gives customers the freedom to use and pay for only select components of their choice from software suites, and the flexibility to add other requisites as and when the need arises. Prior to this innovative customer driven request for ‘a use and pay when required only’ approach, entire solutions had to be bought and installed at a significantly higher one-time cost.

MyFax’s parent company, Protus IP Solutions (News - Alert), recently announced that it has successfully integrated its Campaigner email marketing service into its SaaS business communications suite that includes its IP technology standalone also tools such as MyFax and my1voice, a VoIP Private Branch eXchange product.

In January, Technology Marketing Corporation bestowed the 2008 Product of the Year Award to both MyFax and my1voice in their individual categories at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2009 awards ceremony, and deemed MyFax the fastest growing service of its kind.

MyFax also earned other awards such as Customer Service Management Team of the Year and Customer Service Department of the Year in the third annual StevieAwards for Sales and Customer Service and four Gold Awards from TopTenREVIEWS, an Internet publisher of expert technology and entertainment reviews seen by millions of consumers.

The company said that it also offers a free fax service for users who need to send a fax only sometimes, which realistically translates to two faxes per day of up to 10 pages without having to set up an account or provide preferred payment method details such as credit card numbers.

In terms of free Web-based templates, another company included 40 new business templates free to plan subscribers in its Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, which is licensed to host by Microsoft, and the templates assist staff to quickly configure the business module best suited to revenue generation and scheduling requirements.

The ready-to-use templates are for a range of applications for managing: classrooms, timecards, budgets, projects, knowledge bases, case studies, disputed invoices, manufacturing process, request for absence, vacation plans, change requests, contacts, new resource requirement, interviews, assets, and marketing initiatives.
